Description
We’re looking for a highly capable and collaborative Manager, Investments Office to lead the corporate affairs and administrative operations of ACC’s Investments Group. About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi Reporting to the Head of Investments Business Strategy, you’ll work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and the Investments Executive Team to ensure the smooth running of the group and the effective delivery of strategic priorities. This is a pivotal role for someone who can combine operational excellence with strategic insight — keeping complex initiatives on track while enabling others to focus on their core investment responsibilities. As the link between the Investments Group and shared services across ACC, you’ll drive efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure high-quality business management and advice. You’ll lead a capable administrative team, oversee key governance processes, and play an active role in shaping the culture, engagement, and performance of the group. What you’ll be doing | Ngā kawenga Provide strategic and operational advice to the Head of Investments Business Strategy and senior leaders. Lead and continuously improve administrative and corporate support functions across the Investments Group. Oversee reporting, planning, budgeting, and key governance processes, including the Board Investment Committee programme. Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective business outcomes. This is a Wellington based position. About you | Mōu You will have a business background encompassing operational management, reporting, and business and financial planning. Your planning and organisational skills are unrivalled, with the ability to delegate, meet deadlines, and work under pressure just all part of a standard day for you. You’ll be comfortable making decisions and recommendations based on detailed analysis, that considers key issues and relationships and balances the interests of key stakeholders. You bring in depth knowledge of ACC policies and procedures, and proven ability to manage a broad work programme and deliverables. You will be experienced in developing and providing strategic advice and applying this to future-focused business strategies. Not content to accept the status quo you will thrive on the opportunity to provide thought leadership and advice to inform the development of effective initiatives. Ability to effectively lead through others and empower your team. Your written communication skills are second to none and you’re well accustomed to carefully managing highly sensitive information and scenarios that come with being an integral part of an office such as this.
