The Manager, IT Operation is accountable for the strategic oversight and continuous advancement of the organization’s IT functions. This role entails leading a team of IT professionals, maintaining operational excellence in daily service delivery, and ensuring the reliability of critical IT infrastructure, including systems supporting IT and event operations. The position is pivotal in providing seamless support for all mission-critical technology assets, upholding operational integrity across the authority. You will be responsible for: managing and monitoring the IT operations team to support the reliable and efficient delivery of IT services; developing and implementing operational policies, standards, and best practices to enhance IT service delivery; coordinating incident response, problem management, and root cause analysis for operational issues; collaborating with business units to align IT operations with business requirements and strategic objectives; developing and maintaining comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all operational processes to facilitate knowledge transfer and continuity; developing the technology roadmap for Microsoft 365 (M365) and leading the team to manage and support all M365 services such as MS Teams, Exchange Online and Intune; managing the operation of critical IT infrastructure, including systems that support IT services, event operations and other essential services; overseeing client computing environments, including the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices; enabling and fostering collaboration with the IT infrastructure team and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence across all IT and AV operations; establishing and overseeing governance frameworks for IT and AV managed services, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, service quality, IT asset management and vendor performance; managing technology partners and vendors to deliver the required services; managing the budget and financials to deliver the optimal services to users; and performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority. You should: possess a Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related discipline; have at least 7 years of experience in IT operations, with 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role; have strong experience in managing IT infrastructure, service delivery, and operational processes; be familiar with the latest workplace technologies such as cloud computing, virtualization, and mobile device management; be familiar with ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks is preferred; have excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills; have strong communication and stakeholder management abilities; and have good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
