Description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE: To manage the end-to-end software development, integration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of multiple projects under the portfolio while maintaining effective relationships with technology partners and third-party software vendors, ensuring solutions are correctly designed, developed, tested, and scalable to meet the growing/changing demands of flydubai. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and controls the status and successful delivery of all technology projects assigned under the line of business.
  • Leads end-to-end Oracle ERP Finance solution lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Spearheads the migration from Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to Oracle ERP Cloud (Fusion) in the Finance domain, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal business disruption.
  • Manages a cross-functional Oracle ERP team, including functional consultants, PL/SQL developers, technical analysts, and testers.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders from Finance, Procurement, and other departments to understand business needs and deliver ERP solutions that add value.
  • Owns and oversees ERP Finance modules such as GL, AP, AR, FP&A, TAX, Treasury, iExpense, and related integrations.
  • Drives best practices in Oracle ERP implementation and support, aligned with PMP methodologies and Agile/Scrum practices where applicable.
  • Manages multiple software development/integration teams across various project types.
  • Manages vendor relationships and third-party service providers related to Oracle ERP systems.
  • Provides technical mentorship and leadership to the team on Oracle ERP technologies, especially within Finance.
  • Supports audit, compliance, and risk management activities from a systems perspective.
  • Prepares status reports, metrics, and documentation for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Monitors CAPEX and OPEX budgets, resource utilization, and project timelines ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Organizes Service Level Review meetings for all the internal and external services on a regular basis, generating necessary reports for relevant stakeholders.
  • Leads and supervises multiple software development/integrations teams, across various project categories, including in-house development, turnkey solutions, and package acquisitions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (3+ years)
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in the design and development of large-scale and mission-critical business applications. Minimum 8 years’ experience in Oracle ERP implementations and support. Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in airline domain. Proven techno-functional expertise in Oracle EBS (R12) and hands-on experience with Oracle ERP Cloud (Fusion). Experience with Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion migration projects in the Finance domain. Hands-on expertise in Oracle Finance modules and understanding of underlying PL/SQL code and customizations. Experience managing cross-functional teams and leading ERP projects end-to-end. Strong understanding of financial processes including accounting, asset management, procurement-to-pay, and order-to-cash. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Thorough understanding of Project Budget (CAPEX, OPEX) and contracting experiences (SaaS, SoW, MSA, Business Case).
