SUMMARY

We are looking for a Manager, Strategic Initiatives to lead the execution of the business systems roadmap. This critical role will oversee the transition to a new Enterprise landscape built around the SAP S/4HANA platform and its integrated systems. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in SAP, with a deep understanding of Finance and Controlling, and strong project management skills. The role will work closely with management and stakeholders and will be responsible for leading diverse teams while ensuring effective communication and stakeholder management. This position works in a team setting, sharing information and assisting other colleagues and business departments. The role will report to the Director, Business Enablement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A university degree or technical diploma along with at least 10 years of full-time work experience.
  • Leading a minimum of two SAP end-to-end implementations with at least one on the S/4HANA platform.
  • Experience transitioning from SAP ECC to S/4HANA.
  • An advanced understanding of SAP and business systems concepts with a focus on finance and controlling.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask and work effectively with others.
  • Experience leading diverse teams across multiple geographies and business units.
  • Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of internal and external audit processes would be an asset.
  • Experience with manufacturing and asset management.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing the business systems roadmap.
  • Partner with a global team to shape the finance and controlling transformation strategy and align it with the business systems roadmap.
  • Lead the execution of the business systems roadmap.
  • Collaborate closely with our implementation partner and internal teams to oversee the transition to the new Enterprise landscape built around the SAP S/4HANA platform and its integrated systems.
  • Manage and mentor diverse teams and provide training and guidance on best practices.
  • Develop and maintain the strategic initiatives standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular checks to identify risks and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Assist in continually improving the business systems architecture.
  • Monitor and ensure the effectiveness of enterprise-wide initiatives and policies.
  • Track and maintain operational metrics.
  • Develop risk identification, tracking, and mitigation processes in conjunction with an overall strategy and methodology.
  • Consult with staff to ensure that strategic initiatives are factored into the evaluation, selection, installation, and configuration of tools and systems.
  • Provide regular reports on project status, threats, vulnerabilities, and residual risks, along with follow-up on remedial action.
  • Collaborate with service providers and coordinate appropriate responses to events based on their priority.
  • Develop and manage standards related to strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and support the administration of enterprise tools and systems.
