The Kenosha County Security Coordinator will join the Utilities, Facilities, and Project Engineering team as the site Subject Matter Expert (SME) and primary onsite security professional at the Lilly Kenosha County (LKC) campus for site security activities and to act as a direct resource on matters affecting the security of employees, facilities, and assets at the LKC facilities. Responsibilities Contribute successfully to a diverse team of security professionals: Integrate fundamental security-related experience, training, and skills into the Global Security team using highly effective interpersonal skills. Deliver high quality, effective security operations: Apply existing skills and develop new competencies to execute duties in the areas of personnel and site security; manage on-site contract security team, processes and protocols; asset protection; security investigations; threat intelligence; critical incident support; law enforcement liaison; regulatory subject matter expert (SME) and site representative for security-related internal and external audits; and engagement of outside professional security resources. Attend meetings with plant management, engineering, and others to ensure proper loss prevention requirements are designed and provided during new construction, planned renovations, and demolition. Partner to ensure success: Establish and maintain key internal and external relationships to achieve operational successes. Key internal partners include Human Resources; Legal Division; Health, Safety & Environment (HSE); Ethics & Compliance; Information Security; and Facilities Management. Maintain an external network to aid in the execution of his/her duties, including local, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies as needed. Establish and manage effective contracts, performance, and relationships with vendors such as private investigators. Successfully manage crisis and emergency situations. Security Assessments: Apply existing security standards and policies when conducting and fully documenting site security reviews of company facilities and strategic partners. Physical Security Design: Conduct risk assessments of campus sites using recognized security tools and protocols. Provide professional expertise in the design of security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, key control) and procedures, including but not limited to visitor policy, parking enforcement, controlled substance / Lilly Special Substance Security, property passes, and hostile intruder. Threat management: Comprehensive evaluation, investigation, and response to threats or other hostile acts directed to individuals and the corporation. Personal security: Security support for at risk persons to include conducting security advances, close protection, evacuation, travel security intelligence and logistics management. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Minimum of ten years law enforcement experience Minimum of five years in a supervisory or team leader role, responsibilities of which include personnel and operational management Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability to establish productive relationships and effectively liaise with local, state, and federal law enforcement, regulatory (i.e. DHS, TSA), and prosecutorial agencies Ability to interact successfully with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and nationalities Demonstrated ability to cultivate and develop investigative information of value through multiple sources Experience responding to and managing critical events, emergency situations, and crisis management experience Corporate security experience Ability to maintain confidentiality when appropriate Knowledge of facility, personnel, and confidential information security best practices Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently with minimum supervision Demonstrated ability to accurately and thoroughly document investigative results Law enforcement tactical training and experience (SWAT, executive protection training) Ability in all assignments to collect and analyze data from multiple sources, formulate well-founded conclusions, and present valid recommendations in a clear and concise manner. The anticipated wage for this position is $65,250 - $145,200 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
