FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details: Typical shift hours from 7:00 am- 5:pm, laboratory manager can flex earlier and later start times to better support the begin and end of day team needs. Holidays/Weekends: Hours are only required as needed again to support the team. West Bend has weekend hours in the laboratory. CP is also closed the day after Thanksgiving. The Urgent Care at West Bend is open and has laboratory hours. Job Summary: The Department Manager, under the direction of the Director, is responsible for the direct and indirect total care of the patients within the department at all sites; is responsible for the management of all personnel in their respective areas; is responsible to improve and/or maintain all economical and efficient processes. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Three years of supervisory experience preferably in a related area is required. Experience in supervision is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology science or related field is required. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills working with multiple disciplines in a service-oriented environment. Capable of functioning in a team environment and within a matrixed organization. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment under constant deadlines. Ability to provide team leadership. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Registration by ASCP or other accrediting body is required.
