For more than three decades, Lingsoft Oy has been a pioneer in the development of language technology and its application to practical solutions. We are part of the Lingsoft Group, whose companies join forces with language technology, multilingual linguistic expertise and electronic publishing platforms.
We are looking for a manager to be responsible for Lingsoft’s research and development projects related to language technology. Your responsibilities include applying for project funding and managing and monitoring on-going projects. You participate in consortium cooperation, lead project steering committee work and manage project teams. Daily project planning and management work include setting project objectives as well as task management, scheduling, budgeting, resourcing and project reporting to the management group, external funders and other stakeholders. In addition, you are responsible for planning and monitoring the dissemination of project results. The position reports to the Chief Language AI Officer.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Previous experience and successful participation in relevant national and international R&D projects (please list references in your application)
• University level education suitable for the position
• Project management experience
• Excellent oral and written Finnish and English skills
• Knowledge of language technology, computational linguistics, NLP, software development and AI
• Good information management, analytics and problem-solving skills
• Strong cooperation and communication skills
• An independent, goal-oriented and reflexive approach to work
  You will work in one of our offices in Finland, either Turku or Helsinki, but flexible remote work is also possible. The position requires participation in meetings in the Turku and Helsinki region and occasional travel elsewhere in Finland and Europe.
