WHAT SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE SHOULD THE MANAGER, LESSONS AND IMPROVEMENT HAVE?

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • An understanding of the operations of Victoria’s emergency services.
  • Knowledge of Victoria’s emergency management arrangements.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing a lessons management and/or learning and improvement framework.
  • Role models ethical leadership through decision making and interactions with people; creates an organisational culture that enables others to perform at their best and achieve outcomes for the organisation
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the development and implementation of lessons management.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the State Lessons and Evaluation Unit at the State Control Centre.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior decision makers and emergency management agencies on lessons management and continuous improvement.
