Responsibilities

The Manager Logistics and Facilities is essential to the strategic management and operational effectiveness of Council’s logistics, fleet, and built assets. This role is responsible for ensuring that all services are delivered in alignment with Council’s objectives, operational plans, and legislative requirements, while promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee building maintenance, fleet services, and depot operations, ensuring that our facilities and assets are maintained to the highest standards. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a collaborative work environment.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Oversee the management of Council’s land register, Native Tile and Crown Land.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of Council’s fleet assets, including acquisition planning, utilisation tracking, and timely disposal in line with policy.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of Council’s capital works program for buildings and facilities.
  • Oversee the management of rural addressing.
  • Provide strategic oversight of Council’s stores function, including inventory control, purchasing, and secure storage of materials and consumables.
  • Contribute to the development of the Directorate’s annual operational and delivery programs, ensuring alignment with Council’s strategic plans.
