As a Logistics Manager, you’ll lead both people and process to ensure every product is received, stored, and delivered safely, efficiently, and with purpose. This role oversees drivers and receiving staff, coordinates logistics operations, and ensures our partners receive what they need, when they need it. This is what you’ll do! · Supervise Receiving and Transportation teams, including scheduling staff to ensure efficient routing, freight handling, and optimal use of manpower · Oversee coordination and scheduling of agency deliveries and donation pick-ups · Allocate storage space and coordinate the safe, efficient, and sanitary receipt of all products · Ensure timely and efficient transportation of donated goods · Monitor staff performance to ensure freight is handled safely using proper equipment and procedures · Train, delegate, and motivate staff while ensuring compliance with established policies · Oversee accurate receipting and documentation of Feeding America and USDA loads · Verify and prepare outbound shipments to partner agencies and other food banks, ensuring accuracy in quantities, destinations, and routing · Support inventory management by overseeing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and processing adjustments · Embody and model core values: Lead, Care, Innovate, and Respect · Conduct and maintain safety audits, ensuring compliance with TAFB, Feeding America, AIB, and OSHA standards · Ensure warehouse operations align with safe food handling and sanitation guidelines · Operate material handling equipment as needed while maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment · Perform daily equipment inspections and coordinate maintenance needs with Facilities · Support warehouse security efforts to maintain a safe and secure workplace · Perform other duties as assigned This is what you’ll need: · Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree with 6–10 years of experience, including 3–5 years in a supervisory role · Supervisory Leadership Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing team of receiving staff and drivers Set clear goals, assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and conduct evaluations Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement · Technical Proficiencies Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software Forklift certification required · Communication Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills with a solution-oriented approach · Other Competencies High attention to detail, adaptability, and a self-starter mindset Compassion for the mission and commitment to operational excellence Requirements Physical Requirements and Work Environment · Work primarily in a warehouse environment · Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and pulling up to 50 pounds · Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and moderate to loud equipment noise · Requires schedule flexibility, including occasional evenings and weekends
