Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the role As Manager, you will lead the operational performance of the resort, leading a small team and ensuring a safe, welcoming and well-run environment for guests year-round. This hands-on leadership role will see you actively involved across all areas of the business from front-of-house guest interactions through to operational reporting, budgeting coordination, and commercial performance management. You’ll oversee accommodation operations, guest services, housekeeping, and maintenance coordination, ensuring a high standard of presentation and guest experience across the resort. A key part of the role is managing the seasonal nature of the business. You’ll be responsible for workforce planning and operational coordination to ensure the resort is appropriately resourced to meet both peak and off-peak periods, while maintaining operational efficiency and cost control. He kōrero mōu | About you | Our ideal candidate You are a hands-on leader who combines strong commercial thinking with a genuine commitment to guest experience and team culture, and will have: · Proven experience leading operations in hospitality, tourism or accommodation environments. · A confident, hands-on leadership approach – taking ownership of performance and outcomes. · Strong commercial and financial capability, with a focus on delivering results. · The ability to plan, prioritise and operate effectively across peak and off-peak periods. · An authentic and approachable manner, with a natural ability to lead teams and create great guest experiences.
