Your next career opportunity: As the Manager, Major Initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in the Innovation & Enterprise portfolio, leading a team in the strategic development and submissions for major competitive grant programs. You will collaborate with lead researchers, faculty stakeholders, and team members across various portfolios to drive innovation and enterprise at the University. This is your chance to provide expert advice, develop competitive propositions, and directly support proposal development, contributing to the University’s strategic goals. Your responsibilities will include: Lead Strategic Grant Submissions: Leading a team to coordinate application processes for major funding programs, from concept development to submission. Identify and Develop Opportunities: Scan the environment for potential opportunities and support the development of major research projects. Provide Expert Advice: Offer timely guidance to researchers and stakeholders on funding pipelines and specific proposals. Facilitate High-Level Discussions: Engage in negotiations with internal and external stakeholders, including funders and government advisors. You may be a great fit if: You will have significant experience in coordinating and preparing competitive grant submissions, with exceptional strategic, analytical, and project management skills to drive innovation and enterprise initiatives. You may also: Possess post-graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. Demonstrate significant experience in business plans and managing competitive grant submissions for the Australian Research Council. Have a sound understanding of knowledge and technology transfer or university-industry relations. Exhibit excellent strategic, conceptual, people management and interpersonal skills.
