The Market Planning Manager position is responsible for both the strategic planning and tactical implementation for a range of projects and initiatives, including growth strategy, retail analysis, market planning, and supporting strategic initiatives. The role requires strong analytical capabilities across financial, real estate, and macro-economic domains to synthesize actionable insights that inform the collective plan. As a manager of market planning, you will Contribute to the creation, development, and prioritization of growth strategies, plans, and goals. Provide research, quantitative analysis, and modeling to analyze new store opportunities, business plan development, competition, performance and/or evaluation of business opportunities, current or potential. Support planning, deployment and execution of Starbucks key strategies in areas such as trade area optimization, new store growth, store relocations, and store concept optimization. Research and develop strategic recommendations to create critical value to clients, markets, business units, and the company. Apply analytical methods to quantify threats and to identify opportunities to increase market share and/or identify organic growth opportunities. We'd love to hear from people with: Minimum of 5 years of experience using statistical software for analysis of market research data and development of regression and other multivariate models Minimum of 3 years of project management experience Minimum of 3 years of statistical and marketing research experience in a retail or related environment Minimum of 2 years of national retail or restaurant experience Minimum of 2 years of experience using demographic data in retail markets, site analysis or marketing research Ability to develop databases Ability to perform statistical, mathematical and financial modeling Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and statistical applications Familiarity with application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analysis technology in a market research environment This position will support the Northeast, North Atlantic, and New York Metro regions so previous real estate or market planning experience within those territories is a plus As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits.
