As a material operations manager, you will lead a team dedicated to ensuring critical materials and supply logistics meet the needs of patients and hospital employees. Responsibilities The Material Service Operations Manager provides leadership and direction of Material Service Operations (MSO) for assigned sites with 24-hour responsibility for the overall operation of MSO to ensure highest quality outcomes while optimizing operational efficiencies and maximizing financial performance. The Manager’s responsibilities include planning, budgeting, staffing and operations within the assigned areas of service. Responsible for meeting budget and labor productivity management targets. Interfaces with the collective bargaining units as applicable. The Manager has direct responsibility for official perpetual inventory management, unofficial par inventory values, product distribution, shipping, receiving and requisitioning. Oversees and manages the daily Materials Management Information System (MMIS) operations within area of responsibility. Works with employees and other managers outside of MSO to develop systems and procedures necessary for efficient operations. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience required. Training in materials management concepts, supply distribution alternatives and quality management. Experience: Minimum of five years progressively more responsible experience in materials management. Healthcare environment experience highly preferred. Experience must include demonstrated technical expertise in materials management information systems, scheduling, inventory management, acquisition, receiving, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment. Skills: Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively problem solve and facilitate group processes to positive outcomes. Knowledge of and experience with administrative and managerial systems and roles. Comprehensive skills in the area of analysis and report generation. Ability to work with a wide variety of people in a professional and effective manner. Ability to work under stress. Pay Range USD $48.59 - USD $73.35 /Hr.
