Job Summary Responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the Materials Management department. Job Description Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Licenses/Certifications: (None) Experience / Knowledge / Skills: At least five (5) years Materials Management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting. At least one (1) year supervisory experience. Effective oral and written communication skills. Principal Accountabilities Maintains and monitors inventory levels of supplies and equipment. Manages Materials Management department personnel: conducting performance evaluations, interviewing, hiring, counseling, and terminating as necessary. Direct and coordinate activities of the department. Ensures safe care to patients, staffs and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff. Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
