Job Role / Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Engineering Design in Design & Engineering Office, you will be responsible for overall management of design works related to HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Fighting Systems of healthcare, academic, lab, residential and commercial facilities. You will be involved in concept level design, schematic level design and detailed design with Construction Supervision and Field Design and Support Services. You will also be responsible for authoring contracts and handling sub-consultants and contractors accountable to time, cost & quality of the project deliverables, and also managing and reviewing contractor’s model. Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible for space planning and design management of facilities on campus for Master Planning, and conceptual / schematic design of buildings. Prepare concept / schematic / detail designs and documents of new projects / deferred maintenance project / renovation projects. Manage and lead team of Mechanical Engineers & CAD/BIM operators and assign tasks and responsibilities for designing. Do Mechanical Engineering Design Calculations. Team leader for projects as assigned, monitor staff performance and provide guidance to accomplish work goals. Conduct design reviews of detailed design drawings of capital projects produced by external consultants. Lead Design Coordination Meetings (DCMs) during planning phase and attend Work Coordination Meetings (WCMs) during execution phase. Knowledge and Competencies (State skills, abilities & traits required): Leadership qualities; teamwork; people’s skills, very strong communication skills; report writing skills; presentation skills. Mechanical design skills; working knowledge of MEP requirements of high-tech buildings specially for health care & laboratory facilities; working knowledge of architectural / structural requirements of buildings; working knowledge of space planning. Analysis of issues. A positive attitude, with strong communication & interpersonal skills. The ability to take initiatives without requiring supervision Eligibility Criteria / Requirements: You should have/be: A Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial Manufacturing). Master’s in Project Management / Engineering will be preferred. at least 15 years of related experience in design and construction industry (health care experience will be preferred) proficiency in using CAD, REVIT and MS Office software proficiency in using Engineering Design software like HAP, Pipe Sizer, Duct Sizer, Psychrometric Analyzer etc. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted
