Brief Job Description: As a Manager Mechanical Engineering you will: Be part of the THERMAL LoB leadership structure and provides leadership, direction and ensures deployment of Product Quality, Quality Systems Management and Product Compliance System (QAQC) within THERMAL LoB in the Region Be accountable for the development of product quality and compliance requirements and deployment of these throughout the product development, manufacturing, sourcing, delivery, and improvement processes. This key position operates in a matrix organizational structure and works closely with the Global Quality community, the Supplier Quality function, the THERMAL focus factories, and all other functions across all Regions to drive deployment of quality product, compliance system, supplier quality, customer quality, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each: - (This will describe the overall core responsibilities of the role, decision making responsibilities etc.) LoB Quality Management Coordinates the THERMAL Quality function in EMEA and participates to the Global THERMAL Quality Council Responsible for the implementation and uphold of the EMEA Quality System within respective LoB Primary quality interface to Key customer accounts in EMEA Consolidates quality KPIs and reports Manages/coordinates monthly quality reviews for the respective LoB at Regional and focus factories level; contributes and participate Global Quality reviews as needed Cooperates with Supplier Quality function to set up, deploy and continuously improve supplier quality system LOB Continuous Improvement Drive process improvement initiatives within THERMAL EMEA Line of Business in cooperation with VOS Team Contributes and supports central product compliance efforts in collaboration with R&D and specifically on LoB’s tasks Drive continuous improvement of processes and system set up Best practice sharing across LoB/Focus Factories, regionally and globally Skills assessment and development Periodical Process FMEA (risk analysis) approval for respective Focus Factory Supplier Quality (cooperation between Focus Factory, Supplier Quality Team and Supply Chain organization) Work on / participate to supplier quality audits and claim management towards these suppliers In cooperation with Supplier Quality Team Implement and maintain common supplier quality handbook (guidelines) with key suppliers Work on / participate on supplier quality improvement programs Provide strategic support to Supply Chain Management relative to Supplier Quality Strategy as well as Quality interface, expertise and support the operation’s suppliers and partners Design Quality (New Product Design) quality specifications NPD Design Reviews Quality participation management / design stages quality approval Design Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) support Design Quality (NPI quality) process, product and service. NPI/NPD quality deliverables management Product Quality Assure quality standards implementation during Custom project executions Set quality standards for respective manufacturing locations and sub-contracting (3rd party), deploy, train and audit to these standards Provides the feedback reported by Service, Installation and Field to R&D and Focus Factories and collaborates on improvement initiatives leading to high quality level products Factory Quality Responsible for Quality standards and Quality Control/Inspection activities within Thermal Production Plants Customer Quality Customer Claims management, in cooperation with LOB Project team LoB Specific Customer Audits preparation, participation and manage on improvement activities related Evaluation and participation at customer new contract’s documentation preparation Reporting Monthly Operational Quality KPIs on LoB level EMEA Reporting Contributes to Global Reporting Quality Management System – Vertiv Croatia Quality Management Representative for Vertiv Croatia Internal audits for local QMS Others Develop and maintain effective communication within the respected focus factories Focus Factories responsible budget and CAPEX approval and periodical review Participation in continuous improvement in various ways General Responsibilities: Follows procedures, rules and principles of quality management system and environmental management system, Respects principles of local and international VERTIV Trade Compliance procedures connected with all operations and business practices, Follows all rules of H&S and living environment protection defines by internal procedures or communicated during trainings, Works per 5S method and Lean principles, Is responsible to use working dress and all safety protection equipment defined by organization, Follows required actions to prevent all emergency situations and follows operation controls rules, Reports all accidents, occupation diseases and emergency situations, Qualifications: Required/ Minimum Qualifications: 5 years of Engineering / Operation Experience, including 2 years experience in Quality. University degree, Engineering or Business Management (MBA advantage) Additional / Preferred Qualifications: Principles of Lean manufacturing Strong Leadership skill Strong verbal and written communication skills Well-developed interpersonal skills Computer and software applications skills required Proactive and high-energy style Active knowledge of quality systems, tools and standard Proficient English (written and spoken ) Physical & Environmental Requirements: - (To be used majorly for manufacturing jobs.)
