  Job Summary The National Sales Manager position will report to the Director of Club/Mass and has an integral role within the S. Martinelli & Company sales team. This role will support our growth efforts in the Club/Mass channels, including, but not limited to, Walmart, Sam’s, and BJ’s. This position is responsible for achieving annual/ monthly sales budgets, market share, and trade targets by identifying and executing business opportunities against merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving objectives.   Job Functions * BUSINESS MANAGEMENT 1. Build and maintain relationships with key customer personnel, including but not limited to the buyer, category manager, logistics, and customer service. 2. Develop and nurture relationships with internal constituents 3. Develop strategies to drive brand/category growth and achieve or exceed sales/profit goals 4. Own & lead negotiation for joint business planning, new items, key initiatives, etc. 5. Influence key stakeholders to implement solutions through fact-based presentations that deliver results that are beneficial for both companies 6. Support and partner with Customer Planning & Strategy and Category teams to drive customer-centric selling solutions 7. Grow partnership between customer and internal cross-functional teams to drive innovation and business opportunities 8. Manage execution of everyday business through the broker, including Customer forms, item setup/ maintenance, online content, logistics, and inventory management, etc. 9. Work with the broker to implement priorities and monitor standards 10. Own creation and execution of annual business plan & key customer Joint Business Plans 11. Extensive knowledge of S. Martinelli & Co. brand products as well as competitive products * TEAM COLLABORATION 1. Cultivate an effective relationship with broker partners to ensure support of the business 2. Manage execution of everyday business through broker partners, including Customer forms, item setup/ maintenance, online content, logistics and inventory management, etc. 3. Contribute to the achievement of business and personal objectives of self and team members by seeking and responding to performance and developmental feedback * BUSINESS PLANNING & CATEGORY ANALYTICS 1. Perform analysis and design strategic business presentations tailored to inform and support annual planning covering key distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing KPI’s. 2. Work with shipment, syndicated, and other data sources to inform strategic/ tactical plans 3. Manage internal systems for the scope of responsibility (Blue Planner, trade promotions, deductions, forecast, etc.) 4. Effectively manage trade, distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing objectives 5. Forecast monthly and quarterly sales and communicate key drivers 6. Actively manage and maintain deduction balance within 60-90 days by providing guidance and assistance to the Deduction team. 7. Drive business process improvements by working closely with cross-functional business partners and team 8. Build, enter, and maintain forecast and trade in trade management software system 9. Integrate Omni channel insights, strategy, and executional tactics within the category leadership work and category Overviews. 10. Facilitate incorporation of category management into business strategies and tactics. 11. Keep leadership informed on status of plans and programs, changing conditions, requirements of marketplace, competitive activity, issues, and accomplishments that may affect sales results. Job Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree (emphasis in business/marketing or related field) preferred 2. Experience managing Walmart and Sam’s preferred 3. Strong analytical and communication skills 4. Ability to work independently to accomplish Company goals 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills 6.
