The Manager Nursing is responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the Intensive Care Unit. This is a general management position with the bonus of knowing your work is ultimately improving people’s lives. Managing in a hospital environment requires supporting staffing, working with vendors, handling budgets etc. It, also, gives you the opportunity to direct operations that directly impact the health care of others.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree Nursing/Patient Care - Required
• 5 years Nursing/Patient Care - Required
• 2 years Previous managerial experience with demonstrated leadership skills - Preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board in state of practice - Required
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
• Licensure - Nursing Leadership Licensure within 36 months - Preferred
• Unit Specific Certifications - Franciscan Alliance Required if required by unit:
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association- Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association Required if required by unit
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - The American Academy of Pediatrics Required if required by unit
