MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related fields; and,
  2. Five years of progressively responsible experience in the fields of administration, office management, methods analysis, systems analysis and documentation, forms designs and control, two of which shall have been in data processing and management information systems; and,
  3. General knowledge of computer and communication capabilities, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and information retrieval techniques; or,
  4. Satisfactory combination of equivalent experience and education.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work independently as well as work as part of a fast-moving team
  • Advanced knowledge of infrastructure, network and desktop environments.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a healthcare setting

Responsibilities

Purpose of Position:
Under direction, is responsible for the administrative activities of the Office of Management Information Systems, including functions such as planning, budgeting, internal systems and procedures, project scheduling, form analysis and control.
Examples of Typical Tasks:
1. Develops and maintains a staff of administrative support personnel at a level to fulfill the requirements of the Information Systems Department.
2. Plan, assigns and reviews the work of subordinates.
3. Directs the preparation of departmental budgets in conjunction with other departmental managers.
4. Coordinates the activities of the various segments of the department to assure timely and economical completion of projects.
5. Directs the preparation of cost estimates for current and proposed projects, reflecting the cost of equipment, man and machine hours required.
6. Establishes, reviews and controls documentation standards, including the development and control of forms. 7. Directs the collection and analysis of data and reports concerning departmental operations, methods, personnel utilization, space and equipment.
