Description

The Brockville & Area Community Living Association (BACLA) is a non-profit, charitable organization established to provide community based support for people in the Brockville area who have an intellectual disability. Our service provides a wide range of accommodations and support arrangements in residential and supported independent living settings. BACLA operates in a shared leadership and governance arrangement with a sister agency, Community Living North Grenville (CLNG). This role will liaise with finance and administrative positions at both agencies.
Reporting to the Executive Director and participating as a vital member of the senior management team, the Manager of Administrative Services will oversee all aspects of the administrative services, property management and accounting activities of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· College Diploma or University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Office Management.
· A minimum of 3 years related experience at a management level is preferred.
· Experience in a financial role in the not-for-profit sector is preferred.
· Experience overseeing staff including hiring, coaching and performance management is preferred.
· Knowledge of payroll systems and legislation.
· Excellent computer skills are required.
· Experience with Sage 300 is preferred.
· Clear vulnerable sector criminal records check is required.

Responsibilities

· Within the capacity of the shared services arrangement, work diligently with the Director of Finance at CLNG to support the financial processes of the organization.
· Ensure that expenditures are properly documented and authorized. Ensures that all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
· Implement financial spending and fee collection policies and procedures.
· Ensure that services, supplies and equipment that are purchased are within budget guidelines.
· Oversee payroll administration, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and participate in the accounting functions as needed.
· Oversee the property management and coordinate maintenance of 11 residential locations as well as the main office building in conjunction with the Director of Property Management.
· Responsible for managing the fleet of vehicles owned or leased by BACLA.
· Oversee employees working in the finance, payroll, and administration functions.
· Oversee all administrative practices and processes for the organization.
