The Boeing Commercial Marketing team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Marketing Analytics & Tools team located onsite in Renton, Washington. The selected candidate will be required to work 100% onsite at the listed location.
In this pivotal role, this senior manager will lead a recently formed team dedicated to developing & maintaining advanced tools to help capture value for our airplanes in the market and also lead the effort across the organization to pull out insights from our advanced data sources.
Your efforts will empower Commercial Marketing to deliver data-driven insights that support airlines and maximize the value of our aircraft during the sales process. As a key leader in our digital transformation journey, you will drive innovation and strategic initiatives that shape the future of our marketing operations and help drive more revenue into the company.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal management role
  • 3+ years of experience leading/supporting data analytics, development of new tools and/or information technology
  • 1+ years of experience working in the aviation industry

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Master’s degree
  • Familiar with airline industry data sources (global demand data, flight schedule data, operational flight data, etc)
  • Experience supporting the Commercial Sales & Marketing organization

SUMMARY PAY RANGE: $160,000-$200,000

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team focused on developing models, methodologies, and tools as well as conducting data analytics and data visualization for airline network planning, economic modeling, and airplane performance. Manage, develop, and motivate team members – inspire them to the next level of analytics. Identify and address resource needs. Recruit new talent as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Ensure your team’s effectiveness by fostering effective communication and collaboration with other Sales & Marketing IT facing teams and with organizations that supply technical resources (e.g., Boeing IT, BIETC, BR&T). Collaborate with business leaders in Commercial Marketing to ensure tools and analytics meet their needs and align with organizational goals.
  • Analytics Community Development: Develop, implement, and drive an “analytics community” across Sales & Marketing to enhance the analytical capabilities of the organization.
  • Project Management: Serve as the main contact for analytics-, IT-, and tool-related initiatives in Marketing. Guide teams that engage infrequently with IT. Shape the Marketing organization’s roadmap for tools and analytics. Lead cross-functional teams to identify analytics needs and develop solutions.
  • Data Source Coordination: Ensure data purchases effectively support business needs. Coordinate with Boeing Library Services and Supplier Management on data source renewals. Lead assessments of potential new data sources.
  • Technology Advancement: Understand emerging data/information technologies. In partnership with our Sales & Marketing Digital Transformation team, guide the marketing organization to transform how we work, in order to capture more value for our products and simplify/automate workstreams.
  • Business Insight: Use knowledge of Sales & Marketing to identify opportunities to be more effective. Guide non-technical teams when they must work on projects with technical personnel (e.g., IT), ensuring clear understanding and execution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively across multiple tools, functions, and teams to achieve business objectives, integrating systems and gathering insights from data.
