Description Position Summary Team Mobile Health Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Communications Dispatch Manager to lead our dispatch and communications center operations. In this role, you will ensure all calls are handled with efficiency, professionalism, and compassion, reflecting our commitment to exceptional patient care across the Memphis, Nashville, and Atlanta metropolitan areas. The Communications Dispatch Manager oversees dispatch personnel, call-taking procedures, resource allocation, and communications technology to support safe, timely, and coordinated ambulance responses. Key Responsibilities Operational Management Manage daily operations of Team Mobile Health Care’s 24/7 dispatch and communications center coverage. Ensure timely call processing, accurate dispatching, and effective coordination of ambulance units across Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta and surrounding communities. Maintain compliance with company protocols, local EMS regulations, and safety standards. Collaborate closely with field supervisors, management, and partner agencies to ensure smooth operations and optimal response readiness. Staff Leadership & Development Recruit, hire, train, and supervise dispatchers, call-takers, and shift leads. Perform regular coaching, performance reviews, and corrective actions when needed. Develop and maintain ongoing training programs and quality assurance initiatives to support staff competency and growth. Foster a positive, professional, and team-focused work environment. Quality Assurance & Compliance Conduct call reviews, dispatch audits, and performance assessments to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality. Track and analyze operational metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Assist in maintaining accreditation or meeting agency certification requirements as needed. Technology & Systems Oversight Manage and maintain dispatch technologies including CAD, radio systems, phone systems, GPS/AVL, Teams and communication software used by Team Mobile Health Care. Coordinate with management, IT and external vendors to resolve issues, update systems, and plan future enhancements. Ensure accurate and consistent documentation in all communications systems. Emergency & Incident Coordination Provide leadership support during major incidents, severe weather events, and system-wide surges. Coordinate with Memphis, Nashville, and Atlanta-area public safety agencies, hospitals, and community partners. Assist in developing and implementing emergency response and preparedness plans. Working Conditions Fast-paced dispatch center environment. Occasional extended hours during emergencies or peak call-volume periods. Requirements QualificationsEducation & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. 1–2 years of EMS communications, public safety dispatching, or similar experience. Supervisory or managerial experience is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Memphis, Nashville, and Atlanta-area geography is a plus. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, communication, and people-management skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure and make clear, confident decisions. Proficient with CAD systems, radio communications, and related dispatch technology. Knowledge of EMS protocols, medical terminology, and ambulance operations.
