We ask all staff to uphold the following core values: Trust, Respect, Empathy, Inclusion, and Advocacy JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Manager of Drop-in Center Services Employment Classification: Full-time; Salary; Exempt Reports to: Director of Drop-in Center Services Department: Programs Program Summary: The Orangewood drop-in center supports young people 11-24 who have ties to foster care, are experiencing homelessness, are impacted by traumatic events, and who are victims/survivors of human trafficking to access community resources and short-term case management services to support their transition to self-sufficiency. Position Summary: The Manager of Drop-in Center Services is responsible for the overall daily functioning of four programs and quality control of services to include overseeing referrals, management of program supervisors, general service provision review, contract data collection, compliance, and reporting. When considering this job opportunity, please be aware that the role may involve high stress levels due to mitigating participant crises and potential exposure to vicarious trauma. It is essential to prioritize self-care and seek appropriate support when needed. Requirements Major Areas of Responsibility: Provide personnel management through a trauma-informed lens to include hiring, training, programmatic supervision, and evaluations of core staff, trainees/interns, and volunteers. Maintain a warm and welcoming environment. Cooperate and collaborate with staff across departments to positively contribute to the overall culture of the organization. Ensure daily operations of drop-in center are maintained — i.e. welcome system/door systems, resource room, floor, kitchen, and etc. In partnership with the Director of Drop-in Center Services, monitor budgets and comply with fiscal policies and procedures for the smooth operation of services, including meeting required contracted outcomes. Ensure timely documentation, reporting, and maintenance of participant files in accordance with contract compliance of records as required. Provide necessary timely reports and statistics/information to funding sources as required. Monitor program success through Logic Model outcomes. Participate in grant writing process to support program funding. Identify community-based resources to enhance program services. Responsible for monitoring and building relationships with external service partners. In partnership with the Director of Drop-in Services, ensure contract compliance by conducting internal audits and file reviews. Additional duties as assigned by direct supervisor. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field required. Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience including managing multiple teams and contracts simultaneously required Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience required Knowledge and Skills: Experience with crisis intervention/de-escalation techniques. Skilled in managing multiple programs and/or competing priorities. Ability to manage and resolve crises and deploy resources as needed. Exhibits independence, decisiveness, and responsibility. Ability to establish operational objectives and delegate appropriately. Demonstrates ability to manage grants and develop programming. Demonstrate a proficient understanding of Trauma Informed Care Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure. Ability and flexibility to work in a high crisis, fast paced environment. Adept at coaching and mentoring staff to perform at their best. Ability to receive and implement feedback. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Essential Qualities: Understanding of and passion for the Foundation’s mission, vision, and values. Enjoys working directly with youth, volunteers, community partners, etc. Passion for and enjoys working directly with TAY population. Working Conditions and Requirements: Some evening hours are required; may also need weekend hours coverage. Position will require use of personal vehicle. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, typing, bending, and lifting up to approximately 25 lbs. (i.e. tables, chairs, food, water, etc.). Possess a valid California driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance. Position requires DMV clearance.
