JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Inventory Control & Systems is a senior leadership role responsible for the integrity, optimization, and oversight of the Company’s entire inventory management framework across all locations. This position carries full accountability for the accuracy of inventory systems, ensuring that processes, reporting, and controls meet the highest standards of efficiency and compliance.
As the leader of the Inventory Control team, this role manages staff, develops systems, and serves as the primary point of contact for all inventory-related inquiries and issues. The Manager provides strategic insight and reporting to the Controller, shaping inventory practices that reduce costs, improve logistics, and safeguard the company’s assets. Confidentiality, precision, and strong leadership are essential.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive inventory management or supply chain experience, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated accountability for large-scale inventory systems and reporting.
  • Strong business background with proven ability to implement efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Working knowledge of Lightspeed X (asset) and familiarity with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Expertise in inventory management systems, audits, and process optimization.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and accountability.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team
  • Establish accountability standards and ensure accuracy in all inventory-related tasks.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance management for the inventory team.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for inventory issues and discrepancies.

Inventory & Systems Management

  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of inventory records, including audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
  • Manage the Point of Sale (POS) and related inventory management systems to ensure consistency and data integrity.
  • Record and validate deliveries and shipments, reconciling against system records.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reporting to the Controller, Executives, and department leaders.

Optimization & Reporting

  • Provide analysis and recommendations on supply chain efficiency, system performance, and procedural improvements.
  • Develop strategies to reduce costs, improve accuracy, and optimize logistics.
  • Deliver actionable reporting to Executives on inventory levels, system compliance, and performance trends.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen the company’s inventory systems.

Collaboration & Relationships

  • Partner with Buyers, Warehouse, Finance, and Operations staff to align inventory practices with business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships to support efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure consistent communication between retail operations and back-office systems.
