QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP process management, with a focus on MM (Material Management), PP (Production Planning), and IM (Inventory Management) modules.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP ECC or S/4HANA, including configuration, master data management, and integration.
  • Experience with inventory control, material requirements planning (MRP), and production scheduling processes.
  • Experience with data governance, data migration, and reporting tools (e.g., SAP Query, BW, or third-party BI tools).
  • SAP certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – MM/PP) is a plus
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with SAP migrations or implementations.
  • Knowledge of advanced planning tools (e.g., SAP APO, IBP) or integration with external systems.
    We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $112,400-$140,500 per year.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Manager of Material Data Management you will oversee and improve SAP-based processes and data management for inventory, material planning, and production planning. You will ensure data integrity, streamlining processes, and driving operational efficiency within the SAP environment to support inventory and manufacturing goals.
You will report to the Global Inventory Materials Planning & Digital Manufacturing Director. You will be 100% remote.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the business to implement and target standard end-to-end business processes in SAP modules (e.g., MM, PP, IM) for inventory management, material planning, and production planning.
  • Configure and customize SAP functionalities to align with our requirements and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with teams (supply chain, production, procurement) to translate our needs into SAP solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across SAP systems for master data (materials, BOMs, routings) and transactional data.
  • Develop data governance policies, standards, and procedures to support reliable reporting.
  • Perform regular data audits, cleansing, and validation to minimize errors and improve system performance.
  • Collaborate and support with GOS Operating Service to integrate SAP modules with other systems (e.g., WMS, MES, ERP) to ensure seamless data flow and process automation. Identify opportunities for process improvements, using SAP best practices and advanced tools like SAP Fiori or S/4 HANA.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to support scalability.
  • Maintain SAP-based reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor inventory levels, material availability, and production schedules.
  • Provide applicable insights to partners to optimize inventory turns, reduce stockouts, and improve production efficiency.
  • Train end-users and team members on standard SAP processes, and best practices to ensure system adoption.
  • Provide ongoing support, resolve user queries, and manage change requests in collaboration with IT and business teams.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in data management and process execution.
  • Mitigate risks related to data inaccuracies, system downtime, or process inefficiencies.
