Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, the Manager of Operations oversees and optimizes the daily operations of the organization, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role includes managing information technology, human resources, and assisting with finance, ensuring compliance with company policies, and contributing to strategic planning. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional with excellent problem-solving skills.
This position requires the ability to manage internal projects, create and sustain relationships with staff and external stakeholders, and work independently and as part of the team. The Manager of Operations supervises the Membership and Events Lead.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in information technology, human resources, finance, and general office operations.
- Knowledge and background in administration, payroll, HR best practices, finance, and IT management.
- A post-secondary education and/or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to work collaboratively with individuals with varying levels of experience with finance and technology systems.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented with proven prioritizing and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, including capacity to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives, and prioritize effectively to work within deadlines and meet deliverables.
- Excellent skills relating to establishing and maintaining respectful and collaborative working relationships with the organization’s staff as well as with external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible, work within deadlines, be a collaborative team player, bring positivity to the organization, work independently, and show initiative and creativity.
- Experience in a non-profit or member-based organization an asset.
