Who you are:    The Manager of Operations for Global Pre-College Programs has operational responsibility for the oversight of High School Outbound programs worldwide.  The Manager of Operations will provide support to the Executive Director of Operations for Global Pre-College Programs and will be integral in successful planning, developing and executing of high-quality High School Outbound programs worldwide. The Manager of Operations for Global Pre-College Programs has operational oversight for the successful implementation and evaluation of high school (High School Abroad and High School Summer Abroad), Gap Year Abroad and First Year Abroad programs worldwide. The position involves developing program policies and standards, designing and delivering staff training, outlining the evaluation and quality assurance processes, authoring periodic quality reports, collaborating on the design of new programs, and liaising with members of the High School.Outbound department and other colleagues to ensure smooth interdepartmental communication and collaboration.  What you’ll do:    Program Operations * Support in the development of key policies, procedures and standards to ensure consistent and effective on-site program delivery. * Review and advise on selection of program components such as housing, academics and student life related aspects of programming. The focus is on quality and consistency. This role is responsible for providing the oversight and guidance to ensure those objectives are met: * Academic: Liaise with the HSOB Academics team to ensure a cohesive academic program across locations in alignment with proscribed curricula, with special attention to course offerings, calendars, evaluations, quality and co-curricular activities. * Student Service: Oversee the delivery of culturally enriching activities across locations, to ensure both quality and consistency. * Housing: Oversee housing options across sites, with the objective of accomplishing a consistent experience in a financially responsible manner. Work with others to identify new housing options where needed. * Staffing: Facilitate the onboarding of Alumni Interns and coordinate with the HSOB Marketing to train interns * Social Media: Coordinate with the Marketing team in preparing and delivering weekly newsletters, blogs, Instagram posts and updating the Asset Bank Program Development * Support program development efforts by monitoring competitive landscape and identifying possible new program opportunities. Work with other key stakeholders in taking the conceptual vision for new programs and turning those visions and developing those directly with Centers. * Participate in the cyclical development process for each different program line. Thisincludes assessing the successes and challenges of each program and working with Centers or other administrative stakeholders to create an outline for advancing the program in subsequent terms. Program Quality Assurance * Ensure comprehensive and timely program evaluation completion across regions * Review and track program evaluation results over time, with the goal of demonstrating improvement * Establish process for timely completion of program Term Reports * Participate in the creation of the Analysis and Outcomes Reports * Monitor follow up on Term Report action items Communication * Participate in the establishment of robust and proactive communication protocols to keep internal stakeholders informed about operations activities and issues * Listen to and respond to program management-related issues communicated by other departments * Communicate with external stakeholders as needed and as appropriate * Ensure CIEE brand is well-represented at sites and all regional programs are accurately depicted in CIEE marketing materials General Administrative * Develop annual pre-college program administrative calendar in collaboration with RDOs and other teams, and distribute to all stakeholders * Respond to requests for information on programs/program operations and lead process of collecting, compiling and returning requested information * Support special projects or initiatives as needed What you’ll bring:   The ideal candidate will possess: * Business experience – Seasoned professional with 3-5 years minimum work experience with at least five years in hands-on managerial experience in study abroad, international educational exchange, or a related higher education institutional setting * Budgeting, financial analysis – Proven experience developing and managing budgets and evaluating financial analysis. * Technical skills – Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft Excel * Seasoned leadership skills – Proven ability to lead a team through the complexities and challenges of a broad range of operational, programmatic, student affairs issues * People management – proven ability to be an extremely strong people manager and be able to accomplish challenging objectives and goals through others * Process management – Experience developing, implementing, and managing projects and/or processes * Customer service – Extremely strong servicing skills and the ability to resolve issues fairly, expediently, and cost-effectively * Thought leadership – Ability to challenge the way we do business, encourage new ideas/approaches, and understand broader implications of business issues * Integrity – Role model for professionalism and commitment to CIEE values and stated goals.
