Job Summary: The Manager of Patient Billing will oversee the patient billing operations across a multi-location dental services organization with 250 practices. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing processes, while driving efficiency, standardization, and patient satisfaction. The Manager will collaborate with practice managers, and partner with revenue cycle leadership to optimize financial performance. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Ensuring consistent performance across all practice locations. Develop and implement standardized billing policies, procedures, and workflows. Monitor KPIs such as days in accounts receivable, claim denial rates, and patient collection metrics Operational Excellence Oversee patient statement platform Implement technology solutions to streamline billing processes and improve accuracy. Compliance & Quality Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular audits to ensure billing accuracy and adherence to organizational standards. Stay current with changes in dental insurance policies, coding, and reimbursement guidelines. Collaboration & Communication Partner with practice managers and front desk staff to resolve patient billing concerns. Provide clear reporting and updates to senior leadership on billing performance and trends. Patient Experience Ensure billing practices are patient-friendly, transparent, and supportive of positive patient relationships. Oversee patient inquiries and escalations, ensuring timely and empathetic resolution. Qualifications Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in healthcare billing, dental billing, insurance claims, and/or revenue cycle management. 3+ years of experience with billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. 3+ years’ experience working with Microsoft Excel including: Formulas, graphing, pivot table creation, and data merging Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, or related field Proven ability to collaborate across large-scale, multi-site operations locations. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
