Position Summary Lair is seeking a dynamic and organized Manager of Pop-Up Events to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of special events within our speakeasy venue. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in hospitality or nightlife operations, capable of managing both front-of-house staff and behind-the-scenes logistics. The ideal candidate ensures all events align with client contracts, staff expectations, and operational standards—delivering seamless and memorable guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Event Execution & Oversight Lead all operational aspects of pop-up events, activations, and private bookings Act as on-site event lead to ensure timelines, flow, and quality standards are met Maintain alignment with contracts, including services, staffing, and client deliverables Oversee guest arrival, flow, and ambiance to match event intent and brand tone Staff Coordination Assign roles and responsibilities to team members for each event Supervise and support event staff performance during setup, service, and breakdown Ensure clear communication of expectations, standards, and timing Client & Vendor Interaction Serve as main liaison for clients during planning and execution Coordinate with outside vendors, entertainers, and production staff as needed Address issues promptly and professionally on event nights Venue & Operational Management Prepare venue with appropriate layout, décor, lighting, and A/V setup Monitor inventory for event-specific supplies, ensuring minimal waste and full readiness Restore venue to baseline standards post-event Core Competencies Event Planning & Logistics – Ability to coordinate complex events with multiple stakeholders and moving parts Leadership – Experience supervising teams in high-pressure, hospitality environments Guest-Focused Mindset – Dedicated to delivering elevated, personalized guest experiences Time Management – Skilled at prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines under time constraints Professional Communication – Capable of navigating client relations, staff direction, and vendor coordination with clarity and tact Operational Awareness – Strong understanding of venue flow, staffing, safety, and service requirements Adaptability – Resourceful in fast-paced or shifting environments, especially in nightlife or pop-up settings Qualifications 2+ years in event management, hospitality, or nightlife operations Strong understanding of FOH event operations and service standards Available evenings and weekends based on event schedule Comfortable reviewing contracts, communicating deliverables, and enforcing expectations Bonus: Experience with speakeasy-style service or themed event production Requirements Qualifications 2+ years in event management, hospitality, or nightlife operations Strong understanding of FOH event operations and service standards Available evenings and weekends based on event schedule Comfortable reviewing contracts, communicating deliverables, and enforcing expectations Bonus: Experience with speakeasy-style service or themed event production
