JOB DESCRIPTION

Strider is seeking a collaborative and technically adept Engineering Manager to lead and grow a high-performing engineering team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping technical direction, driving delivery excellence, and cultivating a culture of ownership, innovation, and feedback. You’ll work closely with product and engineering leadership to build scalable systems that support our mission to protect innovation and compete in an era of global strategic competition.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 3–8 engineers, fostering collaboration and ownership.
  • Define and drive your team’s roadmap in partnership with Product and Engineering leadership.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery through best practices: code reviews, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and performance monitoring.
  • Manage technical risks, reduce debt, and optimize for long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Hire top-tier engineers and help shape a culture of growth, feedback, and accountability.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point and steward of engineering process and tools.
