Description
Overview Manages day-to-day operations of transportation services and benefits offered by Partnership HealthPlan of California (Partnership). Provides leadership, support, and education to assigned staff, and maintains relationships with providers, Partnership contracted vendor(s), community partners, and county agencies, to promote collaboration and ensure smooth and consistent application of Partnership transportation benefits. Participates in various internal venues to enhance cooperation and understanding of how the transportation program interacts with other initiatives to meet Partnership’s mission. Responsibilities Maintains an excellent knowledge of Partnership’s transportation benefits, programs, and services. Develops and approves provider and community partner education materials in collaboration with the Care Coordination Leadership, Health Education, and Corporate Communications Attends external meetings with providers, vendors, and/or County and Community Partners. Ensures community partner/external agency questions and concerns are addressed in a timely manner. Maintains and provides tracking and reporting needs for DHCS and/or NCQA survey and audit readiness Provides oversight of NMT delegated vendor to ensure policies and procedures are implemented correctly. Works collaboratively to create process improvements and procedural updates. Works collaboratively with Provider Contracting to improve network adequacy. Provides reports on transportation utilization to Care Coordination Leadership, Executive Sponsor, and Delegation Oversight committee. investigates and responds to inquiries from internal departments (ex: Compliance, Grievance, etc.). Works collaboratively with Quality and Training Supervisor(s) and/or health services staff to review and approve training materials. Assists with monitoring and reporting regulatory requirements for DHCS, DMHC, and CMS. Manages daily operations of Transportation Specialists; monitors staff productivity, accuracy, and service delivery using performance standards. Provides leadership, direction, support, and supervision for staff. Coordinates telework staff activities. Acts as back-up for other Team Supervisors/Team Managers when needed. Serves as on-call transportation liaison to solve urgent calls that occur after normal business hours including holidays and weekends. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Social Services, Public Relations, or related fields; minimum three (3) years in a healthcare or managed care environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications Knowledge of managed care concepts, NMT/NEMT policies, and procedures; understanding of auditory requirements. Ability to clearly disseminate policies and regulatory mandates to a diverse audience. Knowledge of business software applications, especially presentation technology. Must have access to own reliable vehicle. Valid California driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance compliant with PHC policy are required to operate a vehicle and travel for company business. Performance Based Competencies Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines. Ability to use good judgment in making decisions and to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy. Work Environment And Physical Demands Ability to use computer, video conferencing equipment, and create PowerPoint presentations. Lift/carry or move objects of varying sizes weighing up to 30 pounds. Travel required, including occasional overnight travel.
