Manager of Warehouse Operations
Belton Foods is seeking an experienced manager to lead all warehousing, shipping and logistic operations at our manufacturing facility in Dayton, Ohio. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient inventory management, on-time shipments and continuous process improvement to support manufacturing operations and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will cultivate a high-performing team, driving unparalleled customer service and accurate shipping. The candidate will maintain strong problem-solving and communication skills, along with experience with performance metrics and warehouse management systems.
This leadership role requires a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of management experience in warehousing or distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and assigning daily job responsibilities to warehouse employees.
  • Lead, train and supervise warehouse team members (approx. 5-8 employees) to ensure high performance and compliance with company policies.
  • Leverage warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy with cycle counts, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) and reconciliation with production usage.
  • Maintain metrics, reports, training and safety records.
  • Collaborate with company leaders on strategic planning, big picture decisions and business initiatives.
  • Standardize warehouse processes across locations for efficient, quality material handling, packaging, labeling, stocking and shipping.
  • Maintain inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling, inspection and documentation.
  • Implement and monitor metrics related to warehouse operations (e.g., inventory accuracy order fulfillment, efficiency).
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and lead warehouse safety initiatives.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Cultivate and empower a dedicated team of warehouse employees.
  • Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory status and staffing needs.
  • Develop and integrate new procedures as business needs evolve.
  • Schedule warehouse transfers of finished goods between production facility and off site warehouse.

This is a full-time position. Hours of operation are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
