About the Role The Manager of Yoga & Fitness is responsible for leading and elevating the yoga and fitness experience at their assigned location. This role oversees class programming, instructor hiring and coaching, studio readiness, and cross-department collaboration. As a cultural and creative leader within the gym, the Manager of Yoga & Fitness ensures that movement offerings are high-quality, inclusive, and aligned with both local and national Bouldering Project standards. What You’ll Do Programming & Scheduling Design and manage weekly yoga and fitness class schedules Ensure alignment with national movement programming standards Coordinate sub coverage and manage scheduling logistics Monitor class performance, attendance trends, and community feedback Instructor Management Recruit, hire, and onboard yoga and fitness instructors Provide regular coaching and feedback to foster instructor growth Maintain consistent communication and support for the instructor team Build a strong, inclusive, and engaged movement staff community Studio & Experience Oversight Ensure studio spaces are welcoming, clean, and fully equipped Respond to and resolve member experience concerns related to programming Represent the yoga and fitness program in staff and member communications Champion a culture of accessibility, quality, and safety in all movement offerings Collaboration & Leadership Partner with General Manager, National Manager of Yoga & Fitness, and Programming Team Collaborate on seasonal events, community initiatives, and cross-departmental projects Promote Bouldering Project’s values through day-to-day decisions and leadership presence Represent the yoga and fitness program in gym-wide meetings and initiatives Requirements What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications: 2+ years of leadership experience in yoga or group fitness environments Current CPR and AED certification Experience in hiring, scheduling, and managing instructor teams Strong communication and organizational skills Availability for evening/weekend hours based on programming needs Preferred Qualifications: Active yoga or fitness teaching certification Experience managing programs across multiple locations or studios Familiarity with community-based or mission-driven organizations Working at Bouldering Project At Bouldering Project, we aim to cultivate excitement for movement, belonging, and community.
