Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Manager in the Office of the Vice Provost. Responsibilities: Reporting to the regional Vice Provost, you will support the development of academic and outreach plans including while assisting in executing its implementation, partnership and funding plans. You will work in coordination with other academic units across AKU, including the Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations (AKU-ISMC) in the United Kingdom. You will be responsible for: assisting the Regional Vice Provost to develop a vision, strategy, partnership and funding plans to support AKU's academic work across different regions analysing and benchmarking international best practices in higher education in the Pakistan context contributing to building strategy, processes and systems for programmes in Lifelong Learning Education and Development of Skills (LEADS) through a multi-sectoral/-disciplinary approach supporting efforts to identify and take initiatives on new opportunities for programmatic integration and expansion in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral in coordination with AKDN agencies or independently, specifically in areas of expertise and interest in AKU providing administrative and management support to expand upon and evolve outreach programmes in collaboration with partner institutions assisting in academic contracts and space management and plans. Requirements: You must have: a Master's degree in a relevant field from a reputable and recognised university at least 5 years of relevant experience in academic administration an understanding of the landscape in Higher Education in Pakistan and internationally the ability to think strategically and be able to synthesize complex information a good understanding of the socio-cultural environment in Pakistan the ability to work very effectively with people from diverse backgrounds to bring them to consensus, and enable them to envision new possibilities good planning and management skills the ability to work in ill-defined situations, handle uncertainty (e.g. Syria) and be self-driven the ability to represent AKU in a wide range of forums the ability to build partnerships with external academic institutions and foundations especially in the AKDN excellent digital and technological skills excellent verbal and writing skills, both in English and Urdu.
