Description

The successful candidate for the ‘Manager on Duty/Duty Manager’ will be reporting to Front Office Manager and should be a problem solver and brings a ‘can-do’ approach to the job. Your positive energy, collaborative nature, and client focus will be integral to the team.
Assist with all duties of the front desk operation, including reservations and guest services. Responsible for ensuring common areas of the hotel are well maintained and able to step in and help with all departments.

Strong communication skills and the ability to take responsibility when department managers are off will be an important part of this job.

  • Supporting front desk staff to successfully handle guest needs, special requests, and complaints. Ensures all guest service issues are resolved prior to guests leaving the property.
  • Support housekeeping by ensuring common areas are well maintained and meet hotel standards.
  • Strives to be innovative in new programs designed to eliminate waste and increase productivity.
  • Performs administrative and financial duties as required.
  • Cover front desk/night audit shifts as necessary
  • Supports department managers to oversee the day to day hotel operations as required.
  • Contributes and supports the overall strategic goals and objectives
  • Follows all safety procedures
  • Weekend and evening shifts are required

Skills, abilities and experience:

  • High school diploma/hospitality diploma or degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience at front desk required
  • Previous experience in housekeeping preferred.
  • Superior customer service and public relations skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $19.25 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
