Nationex is looking for a results-focused, attentive individual for his position as Manager, Operations and Business Development to oversee local operations in Toronto while leading strategic sustainability and growth initiatives. This role combines operational management with business development and innovation.

Your responsibilities
Sustainability & Innovation (≈ 60%)
- Co-lead the cycling strategy for Nationex in Toronto, the network’s main cycling hub.
- Deploy innovative sustainable logistics projects (e.g. connected lockers, smart hubs, public-private partnerships).
- Monitor ESG indicators and ensure compliance with Nationex’s environmental commitments (SBTi, electrification, GHG reduction).
- Work closely with the Chief Sustainability Officer to align and achieve environmental goals.
Business Development (≈ 25%)
- Follow up and maintain strong relationships with local strategic customers.
- Prospect and develop new business partnerships in downtown Toronto.
- Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to align the local strategy with the national strategy.
- Promote Nationex’s green offer (100% electric delivery and cargo bikes, carbon-neutral corridor, green zones).
Manage operations (≈ 15%)
- Oversee the day-to-day delivery and logistics operations in the Toronto market.
- Supervise and support local teams to ensure quality of service, efficiency and safety.
- Manage budgets, KPIs and reports for the region.
- Implement process improvements to optimize costs and increase operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations and health and safety standards.
- Work closely with the Regional Director of Operations to align Toronto operations with regional objectives.
If you have the following qualifications, we want you on our team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, logistics or business development.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex teams and operations in a dynamic environment.
- Strong business acumen and experience in customer relationship management and developing new markets.
- Knowledge of sustainable logistics practices and ESG monitoring is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
- Mechanical suitability for cargo bikes: an asset, but not mandatory •
