Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Manager II, Logistics systems will be responsible for leading the strategic vision, execution, maintenance, training, and quality assurance for all Warehouse Management System applications within TD SYNNEX’s portfolio. All logistics solutions related to our WMS systems will be the responsibility of this role to review, and ensure that proper testing has taken place along with the creation of documentation to be used for training of the logistics coworkers. Oversight and delegation of the end to end testing process including script creation. Partnership with outside departments such as sales, purchasing, IT, engineering in solutioning all new requests and enhancements. The Manager II is responsible for leading a team of logistics systems specialists and indirectly leading/supporting WMS users throughout the organization in the proper use of our WMS system. Partnership with Logistic Center Management and Staff to define and deliver all aspects of system related matters from concept through implementation. The Manager II will also directly manage an assigned Sr. Training Specialist and ensure that we have the proper training programs designed, SOP’s are created and updated as needed and that training opportunities are identified and executed against in the network with regards to system related changes. The Manager II will create functional specification documents (FSDs) to clearly map out and define desired and current systemic processes. Technical Mock ups of desired process flows will be created and the Manager II will work closely with IT developers to properly communicate the needs of the logistics organization so they can be built correctly. The Manager II will support the logistics analytics needs and serve as the SME for the analysts to define available data points and how the various data points relate to each other, aiding the analyst in their reviews.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Scoping of new business opportunities. Oversee the design, testing, roll out (Systems/process focused)
  • Serve as systems expert and 2nd level escalation point for system related issues
  • Training and development of Logistics systems specialist team.
  • Governance of systems related process. Identify gaps and training opportunities for the network.
  • Maintain sustainable training plan for WMS related processes network wide. LC Super Users, Slotting, Prep Desk. Leading a Sr. Training specialist to ensure proper documentation is created, updated and trained to the network.
  • Maintain global focus on WMS template when applicable. Ensuring the solution is repeatable for all regions to ensure consistency
  • SME on logistics processes, communicates capabilities to the organization, leadership in all planning and development activities for our WMS systems.
