About the Role Reporting to the General Manager and leading a team of 35+ staff, this is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, around-the-clock environment. You’ll balance operational delivery with people leadership—driving performance, building capability, and maintaining a strong, resilient team culture. This role requires a high level of emotional maturity, sound judgement, and the confidence to have honest, sometimes tough conversations to drive accountability and performance. You will: Lead a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance and accountability at all levels Oversee the day-to-day performance of a 24/7 operation, ensuring efficiency and reliability Provide strong, visible leadership that motivates, supports, and holds people accountable Have clear, constructive, and at times difficult conversations to address performance and behaviour Build and maintain trusted customer relationships Ensure inventory accuracy and operational integrity Manage site assets to ensure operational readiness Uphold company standards and regulatory requirements You are an experienced people leader who: Demonstrates resilience and emotional maturity in a demanding operational environment Is confident addressing underperformance and not afraid to have tough conversations when needed Has proven experience leading large, shift-based teams (ideally in 24/7 operations) Builds high-performing teams and confidently manages performance Is commercially aware, customer-focused, and solutions-oriented Brings strong organisational skills and attention to detail Has experience in cold storage or logistics (preferred) Has the right to work in New Zealand What We Offer At Lineage Logistics, we foster a supportive and inclusive workplace where people are valued and developed.
