Fremantle Ports is seeking an experienced, people-centred operational leader to oversee performance, safety and commercial outcomes across our Outer Harbour precinct, including Kwinana Bulk Terminal (KBT) and Kwinana Bulk Jetty (KBJ). This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of port operations that underpin Western Australia’s supply chain and economic strength. Role Highlights As Manager Operations Outer Harbour, you will provide strategic, technical and people leadership across a complex, high-risk industrial environment. You will ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations while driving continuous improvement across workforce planning, resourcing, customer service and commercial performance. You will directly lead a team of 6 and influence a broader workforce of around 70, working closely with senior leaders, customers, contractors and community stakeholders. What Makes You a Great Fit You are an experienced operational leader who thrives in complex, industrial, safety-critical environments ideally ports, mining, logistics, energy or similar sectors. You bring strong commercial, stakeholder and people leadership capability with a track record of delivering operational improvements. You will also bring: Significant experience managing operations in heavy industry or high-risk environments. Demonstrated success improving performance across multi-disciplinary teams. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders. High emotional intelligence and resilience with a collaborative, inclusive leadership style. Ability to interpret legislation, contracts and enterprise agreements. Excellent communication skills, including preparing executive-level papers and briefings. Relevant tertiary qualifications in maritime operations, engineering or related disciplines (desirable).
