Accountable for the successful functioning of the OR flow and operations. The Patient Flow Manager works collaboratively with hospital bed management, inpatient floors, PACU staff , surgery and anesthesia colleagues allocating resources to provide seamless patient flow through the perioperative experience. Contributes to First Case On-Time initiative by: Assigns staff to OR room preparation during nightshift and ensures OR room readiness for First-Cases. Verifies case cart preparation is complete and acts as resource to case pick staff for questions. Communicates information regarding first case preparations with applicable persons. Escalates emergent needs to OR Leadership. Provides feedback to Nurse Managers on staff performance issues. Provides onsite nursing leadership in absence of nurse managers. Education Other Graduate of accredited school of nursing Required Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred or Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required Experience 3 years experience working in an Operating Room Required 1 year experience in a supervisory position. Preferred Licenses PA Registered Nurse License Required Advanced Cardiac Life Support Preferred Certified Nurse Operating Room Preferred Multi State Compact RN License Required Or
