Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
To provide patent support for the adidas brand.

Key responsibilities:

• Patent Clearance, including the research of patents and other prior art (internal searches in database system and external searches supported by outside counsel)
• Monitoring the patent activity and products of competitor (including monitoring their websites and other literature)
• Liaising between Technical Departments and Global Legal Product Creation
• Managing the preparation of new patent applications and the formulation and implementation of patent strategies for underlying technologies
• Assisting in-house attorneys and external attorneys in case of patent litigation
• Managing and instructing external patent lawyers in regards to new patent applications
• Handling employee invention law matters

• External law firms
• Departments linked to the product creation process
• Senior Management of Subsidiaries worldwide.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• University degree with focus on engineering or science (e.g., mechanical engineer)
• 3+ years of experience within IP
• Fluency in English
• IT Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
