Qualifications:

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in patient access, registration, billing, cash collections, insurance and/or pre-certification, or related experience in a revenue cycle medical environment; required.
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a heath care environment, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Revenue Cycle Leader Accreditation by HFMA/NAHAM within one year of hire, required.
  • Additional Skills Required: All related regulatory/governing standards, policies, and procedures; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; ability to develop job descriptions, learning plans, give and receive feedback, and coach and counsel staff; staffing, scheduling, and payroll processes; customer feedback and impact on core processes; delegation, team building, decision making, conflict management, change management skills; verbal and written communication skills that are sensitive to diversities among age groups, cultures, and educational levels. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed.
  • Additional Skills Preferred: Epic software experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead all patient access onsite staff across registration points at the facility
  • Oversee daily operations within designated areas of the Patient Access Department to ensure quality, productivity, and efficiency
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness
  • Serve as the facility liaison between hospital and Central Business Office (CBO) to expedite billing and collections processes
  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on delivering quality care and exceptional service
  • Support professional growth and development opportunities within Novant Health
