Description:
Are you a skilled payroll and benefits professional eager to enhance the employee experience through seamless, effective payroll and benefit programs? Demant is searching for a Manager, Payroll & Benefits to lead our payroll and benefits function in Denmark. This role is key in ensuring our employees are supported with timely payroll and competitive benefits.
As the Manager of Payroll & Benefits in Denmark, you will oversee the payroll and benefits function for Demant’s Danish sites, with an internal benefit coordinator and an outsourced payroll vendor to support you. Your responsibility will extend from designing and administering competitive benefit offerings—including pension scheme, health insurance, company car, and various gross salary reduction benefit plans —to ensuring accurate, efficient, compliant, and timely payroll processing. In addition to overseeing daily operations, you’ll enhance benefit plan effectiveness and modernize payroll through the centralization of systems, simplifying procedures, and constantly refining the payroll and benefits experience for all staff members.
TAKE OUR PAYROLL & BENEFITS TO THE NEXT LEVEL
“We are looking for someone who finds it an interesting opportunity to review and improve our payroll & benefits program, and lead the transformation process, and at the same time making sure that the administration of the current setup is running smoothly” says your new manager Senior Director, HR Core Deliveries, Maj Øhle Storri.
In addition to overseeing the monthly payroll process and ensuring clear processes are in place to capture updates related to new hires, terminations, and compensation changes, you perform payroll audits and collaborate with finance on financial reporting. A major part of this role is assessing and transforming the existing decentralized payroll setup, evaluating the potential for a more efficient in-house or outsourced model.
Beyond payroll, you’ll review the existing benefits program and implement a benefits program that meets the diverse needs of our workforce while ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations. This includes annual benefits enrollment, ongoing vendor management, and employee communication and training on benefit options. Your role is to review and improve our benefit offerings regularly to keep our programs competitive and beneficial.
EXPERIENCED PAYROLL & BENEFITS PROFESSIONAL
“To succeed in this role, you should have solid experience in payroll and benefits program design and management, a solid grasp of payroll regulations, and ideally experience with payroll transformation. A good understanding of employee taxation is a big plus” says Maj and continues “Your educational background is not important for us, as long as you have the right mindset and experience”.
Besides this, analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are vital. We’re seeking someone with project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills, who brings a user-centered mindset to process design.
