Manager People and Culture

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys setting direction, backing their team and staying close enough to the work to make things happen. You’ll lead a broad People and Culture portfolio that helps deliver IPC Health’s Well for Life strategy by creating the conditions for our people to be well at work, do great work and deliver great services to the communities we serve.

Why this role?

You’ll lead a team with reach across people partnering, workplace relations, organisational development, recruitment, payroll, volunteers, wellbeing and workforce reporting. It’s a role that needs both strategic thinking and practical judgement: translating the Well at Work workforce strategy into action, coaching leaders through complexity, improving systems and creating a People and Culture function that is proactive, trusted and easy to work with.

What you’ll bring

You’ll bring experience leading people functions in a complex, values-led environment and the confidence to move between strategy, service delivery and sensitive people matters. Deep experience interpreting enterprise agreements, awards and employment frameworks is essential, along with the judgement to translate technical requirements into clear, practical advice. You know how to build trust with senior leaders, guide a team through competing priorities and make decisions that balance people, risk, compliance and culture. A calm leadership style, strong workplace relations capability and a practical improvement mindset will help you align day-to-day People and Culture activity with our Well for Life ambition and Well at Work priorities. Experience implementing, improving or optimising HRIS technology systems would be highly regarded.

This is an ongoing full-time position classified as Grade 6 (HS6) under the Victorian Stand-Alone Community Health Services (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Officers) Multiple Enterprise Agreement 2022–2026.

We will offer you:

  • Flexibility We work in a flexible, creative and adaptable way to best support our staff and clients. Access plenty of options to flex your work and life commitments through our Flexing with IPC Health program.
  • Learning and development Our people are supported to act on opportunities that expand their expertise, knowledge and confidence. Opportunity to explore and participate in our Innovation and Professional Development Framework.
  • Supportive Environment Connection is our strength. We’re a team of 9 and we respect and support each other and work collaboratively to create a force of good. We believe that you will be inspired and well supported by our passionate leaders and creative staff.
  • Celebrate achievements Feel valued and recognised as an important part of One Team IPC Health. Your contributions matter. Be part of an award winning supportive organisation that values and celebrates growth.
  • Attractive Benefits Generous salary packaging benefits including novated leasing, paid parental leave, access to accrued days off, free onsite car parking, free and confidential employee assistance program.
