ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re seeking a dynamic and driven leader to lead our People and Culture team. Reporting to the Director Organisational Performance, you’ll champion a progressive people strategy that drives innovation, inspires high performance, and puts people at the heart of everything we do.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating and empowering a dedicated and passionate HR and OD team
  • Building organisational capability and establishing a positive profile and reputation for council
  • Playing a key role in leading a program of activities to position Council as an employer of choice
  • Delivering statutory responsibilities and plan for the future workforce
  • Navigating complex IR environments while keeping people experience front and centre
  • Overseeing all facets of the People and Culture portfolio including:

    • HR, payroll and workplace relations
  • Learning, development, organisation design and culture
  • Wellbeing and OHS
    This role is a permanent full time opportunity. The total remuneration package begins at $185K, dependent on experience which includes superannuation and the option of a private use vehicle.
