Are you a talented leader with a proven track record for motivating teams and delivering exceptional client service?
Our People & Change team in Vancouver is looking for a motivated and high-performing Manager to deliver client engagements across a range of industries. People & Change consulting is a fast-growing business. In an age of constant disruption, game-changing trends, and perpetual transformation we help our clients drive business value and achieve strategic goals through the optimization of their people and organizational agenda.
Our team delivers strategic and operational consulting services related to organizational effectiveness, human resource planning and transformation. From developing talent strategies and managing behavioural change to optimizing both the workforce and HR function, our knowledgeable advice enables improved performance from our clients’ people and their organizations.
What you will do:
As a Manager in our People and Change practice, you will be a key member of a high performing team. You’ll be learning from some of the best in the industry and growing your personal skillset as you:
- Manage consulting teams in the delivery of client engagements, including planning and coordinating the day-to-day work of the team.
- Support business development by co-developing and co-presenting client proposals and thought leadership, maintaining relationships with prospective and past clients as well as with alliance partners.
- Manage client engagement administration including contract development, monitoring of time and expenses, invoicing, risk management and compliance.
- Driving quality project deliverables, contributing to hands-on delivery of research and analysis, and application of frameworks and methodologies to achieve client objectives.
- Working independently and in teams as required in the areas of organization design, HR Transformation, and / or change management.
- Serving as a liaison between clients and upper management and work across various stakeholder groups to facilitate all phases of projects from inception to close.
- Facilitating workshops with client stakeholders and project team members to gather requirements.
- Help to keep our delivery methodology up to date, create a culture of continuous learning and actively coach and mentor team members to help them reach their highest potential.
- Grow your reputation as a trusted advisor within your area of personal expertise.
Markers of career progression in this role include: increasing size and complexity of client engagements; being seen as a leader and trusted advisor by clients; increasing leadership of business development activities; and development of team members to be more productive and autonomous.
At times, business needs arise and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.
What you bring to this role:
- Consulting experience in areas such as human resources transformation, and / or organizational change management, and / or organizational design and development.
- Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients’ business and maintain strong client relationships by being credible and reliable.
- Strong verbal communication and group facilitation skills at all levels from front-line staff to executives, with confidence and flexibility of approach to suit the audience.
- Strong written skills for an executive-level audience, e.g. structuring and articulating complex messages and recommendations concisely and clearly in proposals, reports and presentations.
- Quantitative analysis skills to derive insights from data.
- Ability to quickly adapt thinking and approach to client assignments, in the face of ambiguity and rapid changes in the client’s and team’s understanding of the issues.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team leadership capabilities with a drive to work closely in a collaborative team environment, lead internal, off-shore, and external vendor teams and manage project deliverables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly and articulately identify and define problems and develop creative solutions to address client requirements.
- Master’s Degree and two to three years’ experience in management consulting OR Bachelor’s Degree and four to six years’ experience in management consulting.
