Overview Manager, Physical Security and Compliance Responsibilities General Responsibilities: Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments to support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management. Maintain relevant EHS logs and documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Coordinate the purchase, proper use, maintenance, and inspection of safety and personal protective equipment. Prepare applicable EHS reports as necessary. Provide assistance and advice on EHS issues and make recommendations to facility management. Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis. Promote incident prevention for employees and visitors. Assist in developing and presenting EHS training and certification programs. Observe EHS regulations, wear required safety equipment, encourage safe practices, and report hazards. Work with employees to achieve cultural change despite resistance. Maintain positive relations with managers, employees, customers, and regulatory agencies. Perform other work-related tasks as required. Comply with all company and EHS procedures and policies. Facility-Specific Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Walk the operating floor regularly to establish EHS presence and provide support. Conduct daily and monthly EHS meetings/trainings as needed. Write, implement, and manage EHS programs, policies, and procedures. Perform facility EHS inspections. Evaluate and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE. Enforce compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, BOSH) and company EHS policies. Oversee hazardous waste storage and ensure compliance (labeling, containment, disposal, documentation). Assist in emergency response and provide first aid. Oversee behavior-based safety programs. Help develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). Follow and maintain fall protection program and inspection records. Participate/lead plant safety committee. Administer and maintain safety compliance programs (e.g., LOTO, Hazard Communication, EAP, PPE, Hot Work, Confined Spaces, Respiratory Protection, BBP). Process Improvement & Standardization: Own EHS processes and ensure standardization across all sites. Resolve process audit points in collaboration with department heads. Lead special projects as needed. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety Sciences. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role (manufacturing industry experience is a plus). Technical writing skills (a plus). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Willingness to work different shifts and occasional weekends. SO4 or SO5 certified by DOLE. Pollution Control Officer certification. Project management experience. Skills & Competencies: Budgets/Cost Control Communication Analytical & Logical Thinking Documentation and Reports Project Management
