Description
Responsibilities - • Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans Group wise (HT, EHV, LT/Railway & AL Conductor). • Production scheduling and ensuring delivery to warehouse as per production plan • Coordinate with production teams to ensure adherence to schedules and resolve bottlenecks. • Monitor production progress and take corrective actions to meet delivery timelines. • Be the key user for the department for information system. Material Planning • Plan and manage raw materials such as copper, Aluminium, PVC, XLPE, compounds, armouring materials, etc. • Ensure optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock. • Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of materials. Capacity & Resource Planning • Analyze machine capacity & manpower requirement. • Optimize utilization of Machines & Manpower with proper planning. • Plan preventive maintenance in coordination with engineering to minimize downtime. Demand & Forecasting • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand demand forecasts. • Convert sales forecasts into executable production plans. • Support new product introductions and special customer requirements. Inventory & Cost Control • Monitor WIP, finished goods, and raw material inventory. • Reduce lead times and inventory carrying costs. • Ensure FIFO and batch traceability as per cable industry standards. Coordination & Communication • Liaise with QA/QC to ensure production plans comply with quality standards. • Coordinate with dispatch/logistics for timely shipment of finished cables. • Act as a link between sales, production, procurement, and stores.   Qualification : BE / BTech Technical: Knowledge of MS Office – Excel etc Knowledge of SAP/ERP System Knowledge of Industry 4.0 Functional: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Expertise in production planning and inventory control Proficiency in ERP/SAP systems and MS Excel Excellent coordination and communication skills Leadership and decision-making abilities Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Ability to multi-task. Proactive and self-managing: able to initiate and plan new work, and carry on job duties and meet timeframes without any follow-up. Willing to approach undefined problems with innovation, creativity and adaptability
