EDUCATION:

Required Education: High School or equivalent
Preferred Education: Associate’s or equivalent
Engineering degree or equivalent.
COTC would be advantageous.

EXPERIENCE (EMEAA):

Experience of managing KPIs and P&L.
Experience of operating an engineering plant.
Plant maintenance.
Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of working at a similar senior level within a complex plant function, ideally within an incineration and combustion environment.
A passion for encouraging teamwork, with an innovative approach to leadership.
An inspiring leadership style, creative and implementing new ways to improve performance and get the best out of your people.
A focus on promoting a culture where all employees are engaged.
Excellent customer relationship building skills.
Strong commercial awareness.
An analytical mind-set with a good understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics.
Relevant engineering/manufacturing knowledge.
Proven management experience in a diverse plant operations role.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to give clear instruction concisely and accurately.
Significant management and leadership abilities highlighted by previous experience of discipline and team management.
Flexibility to work within a fast-paced 24/7 business.

Responsibilities

The Plant Manager will manage all plant operational activities at the designated site to ensure the effective safe utilisation of the plant equipment to comply with site permit regulations and meet customer expectations in a compliant and customer friendly manner.
The Plant Manager will manage day to day plant operations in accordance with license obligations and health and safety procedures, including KPI targets, business objectives and overall management of site personnel.
Working as part of the operations team to ensure safe long-term operation of the Plant at a sustained high utilisation; achieving this will need effective use of resources and manpower on a day to day and hour by hour basis.
This role will be required to provide out of hours on call duties, on a rota basis as required.
